St. John’s offers two Sunday School classes for children:
2 YEARS OLD THROUGH 5TH GRADE
GRADE 6 THROUGH COLLEGE AGED STUDENTS
Both groups gather for Chapel at 9:30 AM each Sunday for a “mini” worship service which includes singing, prayer, scripture, and an offering. The children then split into two groups for their respective Sunday School classes from 9:45 AM-10:45 AM.
Welcome back as we begin our 2020 season. If you have not been participating in the Adult Forum, this is a good time to start.
We gather in the Trinity Room each Sunday morning for challenging and informative programs. After sharing coffee and fellowship at 9:30, we share joys and concerns. We begin the program at 9:45. Below is a description of upcoming programs. Please join us!
Jan. 5 We will continue our series on the Great World Religions with the first video on Judaism.
Jan. 12 “Tour the Pipe Organ” will be led by Lois Mease who will show us the organ chamber and console, demonstrate the four distinct pipes, and discuss why churches use pipe organs and how she approaches music for the church.
Jan. 19 Continuing our video series on world religions with a video on Judaism.
Jan. 26 Newly-elected Ce-Ce Gerlach will join us to discuss homelessness, development, and other issues in our neighborhood.
Feb. 2 Rev. Rick Guhl will lead us in Bible study.
Feb. 9 Darian Colbert who was a past program coordinator for the Freedom School will tell us about his past participation and future plans for Freedom School 2020. His excitement about the school is contagious.
Feb. 16 We will view the third part of the "Judaism" series which has been well received in Adult Forum.
